AGRIUNITY GROUP

Building Legacies

One Farm at a Time

AgriUnity exists to build sustainable economic empowerment for historically marginalized farmers so they can leave lasting legacies for their families, communities, and culture.

We dream of communities where young people see agriculture as a career of choice, not a last resort, because they’ve seen neighbors build businesses from the soil up.

OUR STORY

Founded by Farmers.
Built for the Next Generation.

AgriUnity was founded by farmers who understood both the promise of the land and the pain of being shut out of opportunity. Co-founders like rancher Handy Kennedy saw producers losing land, struggling to reach fair-paying markets, and fighting alone to keep family operations alive. Out of that struggle, AgriUnity was born as a community of producers, educators, and partners committed to changing the story for the next generation.

When we say “historically marginalized farmers,” we mean producers who have faced persistent barriers in access to land, capital, technical assistance, and reliable markets. They have lost ranches and farms that should have been pillars of generational wealth. They have watched as their labor and knowledge created value they were rarely allowed to fully own. AgriUnity works to restore what has been taken: ownership, profitability, and a clear path for their children and grandchildren to inherit not just acres, but viable, income-generating farms.

WHAT WE DO

Three Programs. One Mission.

Our work centers on three core areas, each designed to move farmers from isolation to community, from uncertainty to clear, profitable pathways.

COMMUNITY & IMPACT

When Farmers Prosper
Communities Prosper

The AgriUnity community is made up of small and mid-sized farmers and ranchers across Georgia and the broader region. Alongside them are students, corporate partners, technical experts, and donors who believe that equitable food systems begin with strong, well-supported farmers.

"He left with a concrete plan to raise better quality animals and build a real business. He described it as the moment he could finally see a path to start a cattle operation that his family could one day inherit."
